Player Selection

Many thanks to all players and parents who participted in the Long Island United players selection sessions during May. In all over 350 players from 71 different LIJSL clubs were in attendance and the standard throughout was extremely high and in a large number of cases it was very tough to select between players.

We have made every effort

Selections for the next stage are now complete and those players numbers ho should return for a final selection try out on June 1st are shown below.

Long Island United has selected two boys "teams" and one girls "team" who we believe have the potential to eventually play at an elite level.

The first player selection sessions have provided Long Island United with a clearer understanding of the make-up of the programs first year. After an exhaustive review of what we have learned so far some aspects have been adapted these are listed below.
